Ealing has long been known for its rich history, diverse communities and stunning architecture, but what many people may not know is that it is also a hub for creativity and home to hundreds of artists.
In 2015, a group of creatives decided to work together to create a platform for local artists to showcase their work to the public through the medium of an annual Art Trail. So the Borough of Ealing Art Trail or BEAT was born.
Helliwell & Co pride themselves on their close links within the Ealing community, so when the opportunity arose to become a supporter of BEAT 2022, Managing Director, Joshua Helliwell was quick to get involved.

We know that Ealing is home to many talented artists, so BEAT is a great opportunity for all the residents of Ealing to be able to visit artists’ homes or studios and see the depth of creativity on display. Ealing has a thriving cultural scene making it a great place to live for those who enjoys all aspects of art”.
The work of over 200 artists was displayed at 68 different venues during the weekends of 10th and 11th and 17th and 18th September 2022 and included work in a range of different media from painting to printing and mosaics to metalwork. Anyone living, working or studying in the Borough of Ealing is able to apply to join BEAT and the open studios event is non-selective. Several artists involved in BEAT have gone on to exhibit at prestigious venues elsewhere in London.
Entry is free and artists are always happy to chat with about their work and to give an insight into their working techniques and methods.
Venues included houses, studios, exhibition spaces in churches, hotels, theatres, shops and cafes and could be identified via distinctive BEAT banners and balloons outside each location.
BEAT is a significant cultural event in Ealing, bringing the opportunity to see innovative new work to all the residents of the Borough. Helliwell & Co were proud to have been involved and are looking forward to BEAT 2023.
